Helen dreams about Isabella;
she'll bring her to meet Tilda and Gert.
Frankie can see them through the crack, but he can't get in.
She waits for him to go away and talks to Tilda and Gert.
They don't really like him, either.
When she and Tilda are safely in,
she uses her special method to latch the gate from the inside.
She watches out for Frankie.
He doesn't like it when people are around his hens.
She and Gert have nest boxes in the potting shed.
They give lots of fresh eggs,
and sometimes they have baby chicks.
Even on Sunday.
And she knows there's no mail on Sunday.
But she can't help it.
Isabella is coming in the mail!

Helen, your hen friends are very cute. I used to have a pet hen called Chloe. That was a long time ago when I lived in England. Chloe used to sit on my knee, but she was a bit naughty too as she kept pecking at my fingers.
